Kenan is a likable character. His grief journey feels real, but gives the audience an added lift of humor portraying the death of a spouse.

This week’s episode dealt with discovering what skeletons Kenan might find in his deceased wife’s closet. Is it better to know or to leave well enough alone? This is the question haunting many today. And if you find something you didn’t know before, should you pursue? Kenan’s philosophy does not allow him to let go which leads to a funny, bumbling chain of events. This is where KENEN shines brightest.

KENAN allows its audience those extra beats to come up for air and begin again along this hard lesson of the grieving process. I, for one, am along for his journey.

KENAN is available to stream on NBC PEACOCK
