Even though it won’t win any awards, Cherry is a mostly engaging and ambitious effort from both the Russos and Tom Holland who do a great job getting out of their comfort zones. Holland in particular immerses himself in the role in such a way that not once do you ever see him as Peter Parker. The film also features a wonderful, noteworthy star-making performance from Holland's co-star, Ciara Bravo

The film is stylish and tragic, making for an intriguing narrative. However, an overly convenient, somewhat rushed/unearned ending holds the film back from really achieving true greatness, and proves that while they're strong directors, the Russos still have a bit of growth to achieve before they can go for gold.
