MARIAH CAREY’S MAGICAL CHRISTMAS SPECIAL 🤮

Mariah Carey is sent in to save Christmas in this special with star-studded cameos (including what appears to be an extremely high Snoop Dogg and it all fails miserably. She sings and tries to act her way through this joyless experience that has more in common with GLITTER than it does with any true holiday magic.

Audiences should enjoy a “Silent Night” instead of streaming this on Apple TV +

THE UNDOING S1 E6 THE BLOODY TRUTH 🤮

After closing out this Thanksgiving weekend with THE UNDOING season finale, I am thankful I do not have to sit through another episode. I cannot believe that after six preposterous episodes, David E. Kelley went with a twist so simple it makes watching beyond the first pointless.

The character's journeys don’t add up to anything worth investing your time in and I would rather jump off a bridge than become undone in this story ever again.

RUN 🤮

If you enjoyed the recent based-on-a-true-story limited series THE ACT and wished for more of the same, but completely fictional and with the horror turned up to Lifetime Movie-of-the-80’s level, this is a film for you. If you, like me, appreciate your thriller/horror films a bit more discerning and original, then steer clear of this mess. Did the marketing team at Hulu pull in an up & coming writer/director to capitalize on their success with THE ACT to shoestring together RUN? We may never know.

Wildy talented Sarah Paulson and new actress Kiera Allen (making her film debut!) are both very good, perhaps too good for this movie. I commend the filmmakers for hiring an actual wheelchair-using actress for the main role and hope to see Allen again in many future projects. Skip RUN and watch THE ACT instead if you missed it when it premiered in 2019.
